Important Information for Your Journey. Please take a moment to review our Terms and Conditions below. You’ll find everything
you need to know about bookings, cancellations, luggage policies, and passenger guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable flight with Sunair Aviation.

1. CANCELLED FLIGHTS BY CUSTOMER

Cancellation of air travel on full fares incurs a $50 fee per flight, unless within 24 hours or one full business day before departure time then they shall forfeit the airfare.

Alteration of air travel on full fares incurs a $30 fee per flight, unless within 24 hours or one full business day before departure time then they shall forfeit the airfare.

2. CANCELLED FLIGHTS DUE TO AIRLINE REQUIREMENTS

The Carrier does not guarantee passage. Scheduling and departure times may be altered at short notice to suit operational requirements. Should the Carrier cancel a flight for operational reasons, the Carrier shall offer credit to be held for up to 12 months, or refund the passenger their airfare in full; this does not include a delay.

The Carrier does not accept liability for any costs or inconvenience incurred by a passenger as a result of a cancelled flight or altered schedule. By accepting a confirmed booking, you accept the Carriers Terms and Conditions.

3. CANCELLED FLIGHTS DUE TO WEATHER

Passengers will be transferred to the next available flight. If the next available flight is not suitable, the flight can be put in credit. Credits have a 12 month expiration date from date of issue, unless advised otherwise and are not transferable or refund the passenger their airfare in full; this does not include a delay.

A $50 cancellation fee will be charged if the passenger later wants a refund from their flight being held in credit. Free of charge to rebook while booking is held in credit.

Refunds of cancellations due to weather are non-refundable.

4. NO SHOW

Reservations must be changed or cancelled within 24 hours or one full business day before departure time. Passengers that fail to show up for their scheduled flight will be considered a no show and shall forfeit their airfare.

5. DIRECT FLIGHTS

Direct flights may at times go via another nearby region on route causing a 15-30 minute delay.

6. EXTRA FLIGHTS

Where extra flights are put on over and above the scheduled flights, an extra fare or surcharge may apply. This will be advised at time of booking.

7. PAYMENT

Confirmation of a reservation requires payment of the airfare to the Carrier or the Carrier’s agent. Payment of a fare using a card through our online booking system will incur a booking fee of 2.3%. Bookings taken via phone incur a $10 fee for card transactions. Card fees are non-refundable.

8. CHECK - IN

Passengers must report at the Carrier’s check-in facility no less than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Failure to arrive at the set time for check-in may result in a missed flight and forfeited fare.

9. BAGGAGE

Baggage weight is restricted to 15kg per passenger. Excess baggage weight is $7 per kg payable at check-in. Unaccompanied freight is $7 per kg (min $35). The Carrier accepts liability for damaged or lost baggage or items of freight up to a maximum of $500 per bag or consignment. Carriage of baggage is at the discretion of the company and its employees.

10. CHILDREN

An infant (0 –up to 23 months) may travel free of charge on a full fare paying caregiver’s knee, and not on an allocated seat. However, the infant’s weight shall contribute toward the 15kg caregiver’s baggage allowance. Free of charge infants don’t have luggage allowance.

A child (2 – 11 years incl) is eligible for a child’s fare one-way provided they are accompanied by a fare paying adult.

11. ANIMALS

The Carrier does allow animals to travel with their owners. Small lap dogs can sit on the passengers lap and shall contribute toward the 15kg owner’s baggage allowance. Larger dogs will be charged dependent on weight (see Travel Info – Travelling with Pets on our website for prices) and they do not have 15kgs allocated luggage allowance.

Animals must be caged or sitting on their owners lap on a lead. Some airports don’t allow animals on the apron and must be caged (see Travel Info – Travelling with Pets on our website)

12. DANGEROUS GOODS

The carriage of dangerous goods is strictly prohibited, including firearms, explosives, compressed gases, corrosive materials, flammable liquids, poisons and radioactive material.

13. OVERWEIGHT PASSENGERS

Aircraft seat weight limit is 110kg. Passenger weight in excess of 110kgs must be specified. Passenger weight in excess of 130kgs is obliged to pay one and half fares and will purchase two seats. Any passenger who has mobility issues must advise at the time of booking to ensure safe boarding and disembarking of the aircraft. Call 0800 786 247 to discuss.

14. PASSENGER BEHAVIOUR

The Pilot in Charge (PIC) may refuse boarding to any passenger showing aggressive behaviour or drunk and disorderly. PIC decision is final and there is no refund available.

15. DAILY DEALS

Daily Deals may be available one business day prior to travel and subject to the date advertised and the availability. An existing flight bought and paid for may not be replaced by a daily deal, within 7 days. The daily deals are not transferable or refundable.

16. VOUCHERS

The Carrier offers vouchers for trial and scenic flights. All vouchers have a 12 month expiration date from date of issue, unless advised otherwise. These are not transferable or refundable.

17. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS

All cancellations due to a flight being cancelled due to government intervention restricting freedom of travel, your booking will be held in credit for12 months from booking date. Alternatively, you are entitled to one free name change on your fares if you on sell them or gift them to someone else. Our standard cancellation policy will be in place once the current situation changes.
