Check in time for all Sunair flights is 15 minutes prior to departure. If you arrive before this time and no Sunair staff are at the desk to check you in, they won't be far away.

Your fare includes a total luggage allowance of 15kg per passenger. This 15kg limit covers all your baggage combined, including checked luggage, carry-on items, purses, and personal belongings.

You are welcome to bring multiple bags as long as the total weight does not exceed 15kg. If your combined baggage weight is over the 15kg allowance, an excess baggage charge of $7 per kg will apply. Please note that excess baggage is subject to space and payload availability on the aircraft.

To ensure a smooth check-in process, please weigh your bags before arriving at the airport.

Weather forecasts and maps are monitored by our flight operations team. As weather can be so changeable right up until the day of your flight, we do not make a call on any delays or cancellations to flights until the day of. If your flight is disrupted by bad weather, we will call you the morning of your flight and update you on either a delay or a cancellation for the day. 

If your flight is cancelled, we may offer passage the next day, you then have the option to take that new flight, hold your fares in credit or have the fares fully refunded. Refunds are subject to approval from Management.

All flights cancelled outside of 24 hours are entitled to a full refund minus a cancellation fee of $75 per person, per flight. 

All flights cancelled within 24 hours the full fare is forfeited. 

If you wish to cancel a flight and move it to a different date, a $45 alteration fee applies per person, per flight. This is only available outside of 24 hours before your flight.

When requesting a refund, we will process the amount back to the original payment method used at the time of booking. If you prefer a credit, we will securely hold your credit and booking details on file at our office, allowing you to use it for a future flight.

If you miss your flight, unfortunately, you will forfeit your full fare. We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and while missed flights are non-refundable, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible if you are running late.

In some cases, we may be able to accommodate a late arrival, but this is not guaranteed. Please call us immediately on 0800 786 247 to discuss your situation. We will do our best to assist you wherever possible.

 

Yes, unaccompanied minors aged 8-11 years can travel alone on Sunair flights, provided they pay a full adult fare. Please inform Sunair when booking, as additional paperwork (release form) must be completed prior to travel.

In some cases, special allowances may be made for younger children if they have previously traveled with Sunair.

For safety reasons, unaccompanied minors cannot sit in the front seat with the pilot and are typically placed on flights with at least one other adult passenger on board.

Passengers aged 12 years and above are considered adults and may travel independently.

Yes, pets are welcome on Sunair flights! All pets must be in an airline-approved crate, and fees vary based on the animal's weight. For detailed guidelines and pricing, please visit Sunair's Pet Travel Info.

Surfboards are only approved by the Pilot on the day as to whether the board can fit on the aircraft. We can only carry 6 foot or under.  A surcharge of $25 per board, per flight applies. Please advise when booking if you wish to bring a surfboard on your flight.

Yes, you may travel while pregnant, and Sunair Aviation does not have any restrictions on flying during pregnancy. However, we recommend consulting your healthcare professional before traveling, especially if you are in the later stages of pregnancy or have any medical concerns.
